Sal Island
 
The Cape Verde archipelago consists of 10 islands, Sal being the most advanced and popular tourist destination. With it's beautiful beaches, characteristic town centre and friendly atmosphere, it's an ideal all year round destination. Direct flights are available from the UK and many other countries. Easily accessible from many European and Worldwide destinations such as the USA, South America and Africa.
 
Sal has pristine white sandy beaches that have been said to rival some of those in the Caribbean. With a blend of African and Portuguese cultures, Cabo Verde has been dubbed the ‘African Caribbean’. Unspoiled diverse islands with beautiful quiet beaches & turquoise clear seas.

Development & Future:
It's expected that within the next few years, the Cabo Verde Islands will see one million plus tourists yearly with the large majority of them visiting Sal, which has witnessed a lot of changes. In short, the future is looking very bright!

Hilton Hotel & Casino: 
Building work is close to completion on the new Hilton Hotel (due to open in September 2017) and the Hilton Casino has already opened. This is very prestigious for Sal, as the Hilton Group performs in depth research before committing to any new development. 

Radisson Blu Beach Resort:
The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the most dynamic hotel companies in the world and a member of the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, has announced their very first resort on the Cape Verde island of Sal. The Radisson Blu Beach Resort, Sal will feature 240 guest rooms and open its doors in third quarter of 2019. 

The five-star beach resort will be located in Santa Maria, designed by DSA Architects with a modern minimalistic design, first of its kind in Cape Verde.
 
Bikini Beach Bar:
Opened in December 2016, expected to foresee various acts and artists perform from all over the world. This luxury bar / restaurant is surrounded by a beautiful beach and hosts events such as Sunday brunch and pool parties. 
 
Dunas Beach Resort:
Built by 'The Resort Group' (opened in November 2014), as popular and successful as their other development Tortuga Beach Resort. The biggest resort on the island that caters for the whole family.

Vila Verde Resort:
Located on the outskirts of Santa Maria however only a 5 minute drive away. Vila Verde offers a selection of modern apartments, townhouses and villas. The resort includes at present a 24-hour reception area, restaurants, sports bar, bakery, ice cream parlor, pool bar, several swimming pools, tennis courts, playgrounds and gardens. There are plans to add a nightclub, additional restaurants, spa, café’s and bars as well as other commercial business’.
 
Sal clearly has a great deal to offer. The islands have been named in the Lonely Planet’s Top Ten Destinations – gaining marks for their tropicality, excitement, value for money and special ‘X-factor’. Lonely Planet have quoted “growing international interest is bringing enormous changes to an archipelago that looks and feels as if it were born from a Caribbean mother and an African father”.
